New York Spas
Though New York has no hot springs (the one listed
is not even warm), Saratoga Springs, near Albany, has a rich spa history.
The Lincoln Baths, in Saratoga Spa state park, is a beautiful historic
bathhouse. For a fee, you can bathe privately in naturally carbonated
spring water.
The park itself is full of little bubbling mineral springs, and you
can spend an enjoyable afternoon studying them. When the author was last
there, they provided Mineral analysis of the springs along with a trail
guide.
